Aviation News – Azorra has completed the acquisition of 49 Embraer E-Jet aircraft and two General Electric CF34 engines from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), strengthening its position in the regional aircraft leasing market. The transaction highlights continued global demand for efficient regional jets and reinforces Azorra’s growing footprint in commercial aviation leasing.
The acquisition follows an initial purchase agreement signed in May 2025 between Azorra and DAE. Since that agreement, lease contracts for the aircraft and engines have been transferred to 12 airline customers worldwide, demonstrating broad international demand for the Embraer E-Jet family. The deal reflects a wider industry trend toward fleet modernization using fuel-efficient regional aircraft.
The Embraer E-Jet platform remains one of the most widely used regional aircraft families globally, valued for its operational flexibility, lower operating costs, and suitability for short- to medium-haul routes. By adding these aircraft and spare engines to its portfolio, Azorra improves its ability to support airlines seeking rapid fleet expansion, replacement aircraft, or flexible leasing solutions.
