Aviation News – ITA Airways have presented a specially painted Airbus A320-216, registration EI-DSY, carrying promotional colors for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, turning the jet into a flying ambassador for Italy’s Olympics sporting event.
The aircraft, part of ITA Airways’ narrowbody fleet, was selected as a flagship for the partnership supporting the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The themed livery highlights the airline’s role as an official carrier for the Games, aligning national aviation with one of Italy’s largest international events and boosting visibility across European and Mediterranean routes in the lead-up to the competition.
Technically, the A320 remains unchanged in performance, but the custom exterior graphics transform the jet into a high-impact marketing platform. Operating on regular scheduled services, the aircraft will reach millions of passengers and airport visitors, effectively combining routine operations with brand promotion while maintaining the type’s efficiency and short- to medium-haul capability.
“This aircraft symbolizes our pride in representing Italy on the world stage and supporting Milano Cortina 2026,” an ITA Airways spokesperson said. “Through this special livery, we bring the spirit of the Games to every destination we serve.” 
The Olympic-themed jet marks the first visible step in that strategy and signals closer cooperation between aviation and tourism stakeholders.
The A320 will continue crisscrossing Europe as a mobile billboard for Italy’s winter sports showcase.
