Aviation News – Air Canada has placed a firm order for eight Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, accelerating its long-haul fleet renewal and strengthening its ability to serve fast-growing intercontinental markets with more efficient widebody jets.
The newly disclosed order, originally listed as undisclosed in November 2025, marks a significant step in the carrier’s fleet modernization strategy and deepens its commitment to Airbus widebody aircraft. The selection aligns with Air Canada’s broader development plans to expand international capacity while reducing operating costs and emissions. The A350-1000s will join the airline’s existing Airbus long-haul fleet as it targets stronger connectivity between Canada and destinations across Asia-Pacific and the Indian subcontinent.
