Aviation News – Avation has signed a six-year lease agreement with Colombian airline Clic Air for an ATR 72-600 turboprop, strengthening regional connectivity in Colombia. The deal matters as airlines continue to favor efficient aircraft to serve short-haul and secondary routes.
The commercial passenger aircraft leasing company confirmed that the ATR 72-600 is being transitioned after its return from a previous operator and is scheduled for delivery to Clic Air. The agreement reflects Avation’s ongoing role in placing modern turboprop aircraft with regional carriers and supporting fleet renewal across Latin America.
The ATR 72-600 is designed for high-frequency regional operations, offering low operating costs, short takeoff and landing capability, and reduced fuel burn. These characteristics act as a bolt in Clic Air’s network strategy, allowing reliable service to smaller airports while maintaining operational efficiency.
