Airbus BelugaST Makes Final Farewell Flight Over Northern Wales

Aviation News – The Airbus BelugaST, one of aviation’s most recognizable outsized air cargo aircraft, is set to make its final operational appearance with a farewell flypast over Northern Wales on January 29, 2026, before landing at Broughton Airfield, marking the end of an era for Airbus logistics operations.

The aircraft, based on the A300-600ST platform, is scheduled to overfly Northern Wales before touching down at Broughton Airfield (CEG) at around 11:00 AM local time. The event marks the final operational arrival of the BelugaST, which has played a central role in transporting large Airbus components across Europe for more than two decades.

Designed to carry oversized aircraft sections such as wings and fuselage components, the Airbus BelugaST has been a cornerstone of Airbus’s internal supply chain since entering service in the mid-1990s. Its distinctive bulbous fuselage enabled Airbus to streamline production across multiple European sites, supporting the manufacturer’s multinational assembly model.
