Aviation News – Air Lease Corporation reported significant aircraft investments and sales in the fourth quarter of 2025, reinforcing its fleet growth strategy and long-term position in the global leasing market.
The update highlights strong demand for new-generation aircraft and underscores the company’s role as a key bolt in airline fleet planning worldwide.
As of December 31, 2025, Air Lease’s portfolio comprised 490 owned aircraft and 45 managed aircraft, with 218 new aircraft on order from Airbus and Boeing scheduled for delivery through 2031. During the quarter, the company took delivery of 10 new aircraft from its orderbook, while also selling 23 aircraft to third-party buyers, reflecting active portfolio management amid favorable market conditions.
The new deliveries included a mix of narrowbody and widebody aircraft, such as Airbus A220s and A321neos, as well as Boeing 737-8, 737-9, 787-9, and 787-10 models. This balanced intake supports airline customers seeking fuel-efficient, next-generation aircraft that improve operating economics and fleet flexibility.
Looking ahead, Air Lease expects its substantial orderbook to support continued growth through the end of the decade, while selective aircraft sales will remain a tool to optimize returns and refresh the fleet. The company’s strategy positions it to respond quickly to shifting airline requirements.
Overall, the fourth-quarter activity confirms Air Lease’s ability to execute large-scale investments and sales in parallel. With a strong pipeline of Airbus and Boeing deliveries, the lessor enters the coming years with a resilient platform and a clear growth trajectory.
