Aviation News – The Dutch Ministry of Defence has signed a contract to purchase three additional NH90 maritime combat helicopters, strengthening future naval aviation capabilities.
The agreement was signed on 9 December and includes an option for two more aircraft. The Ministry expects to receive the new helicopters in 2030. The acquisition adds to the Netherlands’ existing NH90 fleet and supports ongoing modernization efforts within the Dutch armed forces.
The NH90 is designed for maritime operations, including surveillance, transport, and anti-submarine missions. Its advanced avionics, sensors, and versatility allow the Royal Netherlands Navy to operate effectively in demanding environments.
