Aviation News – Vietjet Thailand has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX 8, marking a significant step in the airline’s long-term fleet growth strategy and regional expansion plans.
The aircraft is part of Vietjet’s parent company’s $32 billion order for 200 Boeing 737 MAX jets. While the mainline carrier received its first 737 MAX 8 in September 2025, Vietjet Thailand is slated to operate 50 of the aircraft as deliveries progress over the coming years.
The 737 MAX 8 offers improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and extended range compared with earlier-generation narrowbodies. For Vietjet Thailand, the aircraft will support route expansion and enhance operational reliability across its growing Southeast Asian network.
