Aviation News – Hungary expands its airlift capabilities with new C-390 delivery
Hungary has taken delivery of its second C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft at Kecskemét Air Base, marking a significant step in modernizing the nation’s airlift and defense capacity.
The delivery was formalized during a ceremony attended by Hungary’s Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, senior government officials, and Embraer executives. The aircraft is part of Hungary’s planned fleet expansion, following its original selection of the C-390 as a key component of its air mobility modernization program.
The C-390 Millennium is designed for rapid deployment, cargo transport, humanitarian missions, and tactical operations. Its advanced avionics and high payload capacity allow the Hungarian Air Force to enhance both domestic and international mission readiness.
