European Rotors 2025 – Air Transport Europe has signed a purchase agreement for its fifth Bell 429 helicopter, strengthening its emergency medical service fleet and positioning the Slovakian operator as Europe’s largest Bell HEMS provider.
Announced at European Rotors 2025, the agreement marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between Bell Textron and Air Transport Europe. The company has steadily expanded its fleet to meet rising demand for rapid-response medical aviation services across the region.
The Bell 429 is engineered specifically for emergency medical missions, featuring a spacious cabin, high cruising speed and advanced avionics. Its configuration allows rapid patient loading, in-flight medical care and reliable performance in challenging operating environments, ensuring timely access to critical care.
