Aviation News – Aviation Capital Group has delivered its first Airbus A220-300 to ITA Airways, marking the start of a five-aircraft lease that strengthens the Italian carrier’s fleet modernization plans.
The delivery, the first of five A220-300s scheduled to arrive in the coming months, also represents ACG’s inaugural A220 handed over from Mirabel, Quebec. ITA Airways becomes a new customer for the lessor as part of its ongoing strategy to expand and renew its short- and medium-haul fleet.
The A220-300 offers reduced fuel burn, lower emissions, and improved passenger comfort, making it a cornerstone aircraft for airlines seeking efficient narrowbody operations. Its performance is expected to support ITA Airways on high-frequency European routes while providing greater operational flexibility.
