Low-cost airline Norwegian (NAS.OL) announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to purchase three Boeing 737-800 aircraft currently leased by the company.
Aviation News -July 8, 2025 – According to a statement from the airline, the transaction is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2025. Norwegian plans to initially finance the acquisition using its available cash reserves, with efforts underway to arrange long-term financing once the deal is completed.
This move follows a similar announcement in March, when Norwegian revealed plans to acquire 10 other Boeing 737-800 aircraft from its leased fleet, further strengthening its ownership position within its operational fleet.
