July 18, 2025 – Aviation News — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has revealed two advanced launched effects vehicles—Red Wolf™ and Green Wolf™—designed to address the U.S. Department of Defense’s urgent need for adaptable, cost-effective munitions across domains.
Red Wolf is a kinetic strike platform engineered for long-range precision attacks, while Green Wolf serves as an electronic warfare system capable of detecting, identifying, locating, and engaging threats. Both platforms are modular, autonomous, and compatible with air, ground, and sea-based launch systems. They support in-flight re-targeting, collaborative operations, and swarming missions.
Developed over five years and tested in more than 40 flight trials, these multi-role systems can be recovered and reconfigured with new payloads. L3Harris plans to enter low-rate production by late 2025, backed by expanded infrastructure and automation upgrades.
