Paris, France, 16 June 2025 – The 55th International Paris Air Show opened at Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Center, where Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) made a prominent appearance. The company showcased mockups of its C909, C919, and C929 aircraft, including several derivative models.
During the event, COMAC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAFRAN and Crane Aerospace & Electronics to collaborate on the C929 program, marking a significant step in international cooperation.
The C909, designed for regional routes, accommodates between 78 and 97 passengers and offers a range of 2,225 to 3,700 kilometers. It is engineered for strong performance during takeoff and landing, even on short, narrow runways in high-temperature or high-altitude environments. The C919, a narrow-body jet with seating for 158 to 192 passengers and a range of up to 5,555 kilometers, features modern aerodynamics, efficient propulsion systems, and lower carbon emissions. The wide-body C929, still in the design phase, is planned to seat 280 passengers and have an intercontinental range of around 12,000 kilometers.
COMAC reaffirmed its customer-first philosophy, aiming to provide comprehensive support to ensure smooth operations. To date, the company has delivered 20 C919s and 165 C909s. In 2025 alone, Lao Airlines and Vietjet Air joined the growing list of C909 operators. Together with TransNusa, three Southeast Asian airlines now operate the C909 across 15 routes in 18 cities.
Committed to sustainability, COMAC is actively supporting the global aviation industry’s green transition. Both the C909 and C919 are compatible with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blends of up to 50%, aligning with the industry’s push for low-carbon and eco-friendly solutions.
Looking ahead, COMAC aims to deepen global cooperation and contribute to the advancement of civil aviation. The company continues to seek partnerships to enhance connectivity and provide air travelers with more efficient, comfortable, and environmentally conscious travel experiences.
