Deutsche Aircraft has officially unveiled the first D328eco test aircraft (TAC 1) at its headquarters on the Airtech Campus in Oberpfaffenhofen — a pivotal milestone in advancing sustainable regional aviation. This rollout follows the announcement of the initial fuselage cut at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024 and marks steady progress in the programme’s journey toward a more efficient and environmentally conscious future for regional air travel.
Building on the trusted legacy of the Dornier 328, the D328eco is a next-generation evolution rather than a clean-sheet design. It offers improved performance, greater fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and an enhanced passenger experience, while preserving the reliability and versatility that airlines, operators, and travelers have valued for over 30 years. The unveiling of TAC 1 underscores Deutsche Aircraft’s commitment to innovation, decarbonisation, and strengthening regional connectivity.
