Aviation News – Bell has secured an order for three additional Bell 407GXi helicopters from Life Flight Network, expanding the largest not-for-profit air medical operator’s already extensive Bell fleet. The move strengthens emergency medical response capabilities across the organization’s broad service network in the United States.
Life Flight Network, which currently operates 35 Bell helicopters as part of the nation’s largest Bell helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) fleet, selected the new aircraft to support growing demand for rapid-response healthcare transport. The newly ordered helicopters will be delivered mission-ready, allowing immediate integration into frontline operations and reinforcing a long-standing partnership between Bell Textron and Life Flight Network.
The Bell 407GXi is widely used in emergency medical missions because of its speed, reliability, and advanced avionics suite. Designed for single-pilot operations, the aircraft offers enhanced situational awareness, reduced pilot workload, and efficient patient transport capabilities—critical advantages in time-sensitive medical emergencies where every minute can save lives.
