Aviation News – Russia’s state arms exporter Rosoboronexport has signed new export agreements for the Su-57E stealth fighter during the DSA-2026 defense exhibition, with Algeria confirmed as a key customer, underscoring renewed momentum for Moscow’s advanced combat aircraft on the global market.

The agreements were finalized at the international defense exhibition DSA-2026, marking a significant step for Rosoboronexport as it expands exports of its fifth-generation fighter. Algeria’s acquisition follows prolonged contract negotiations that experienced multiple delays, reflecting both financial and logistical complexities. Meanwhile, countries including India, Malaysia and Indonesia have expressed interest in the Su-57E, driven by their existing ties to Russian aviation platforms and what are described as favorable procurement terms.

The Su-57E is Russia’s export variant of its fifth-generation stealth fighter, designed to compete with Western counterparts. It features reduced radar visibility, advanced avionics, and multi-role capabilities, allowing it to conduct air superiority, strike, and reconnaissance missions. Its operational appeal lies in combining high maneuverability with modern sensor integration, offering air forces an adaptable platform for evolving combat scenarios.
