Aviation News – Dassault Aviation plans to significantly expand production of its Rafale fighter jet, aiming to reach 48 aircraft per year by 2028–2029 to meet growing international demand.
The French aircraft manufacturer currently holds an order backlog of about 220 Rafale jets, including major agreements for 114 aircraft for India and 100 for Ukraine. In response to this strong demand, Dassault has outlined a phased plan to gradually increase output from current levels toward four aircraft per month, while coordinating closely with suppliers and production partners across the industrial chain.
Reaching the targeted production rate will require careful synchronization of all manufacturing stages, from component production to final assembly. The Rafale, a multirole combat aircraft capable of air superiority, ground attack, and reconnaissance missions, remains one of Europe’s most advanced fighter platforms. Increasing production capacity is expected to strengthen delivery timelines and support countries seeking to modernize their air forces amid shifting global security dynamics.
