The historic performance, held at the Hefei sub-venue, utilized high-tech drones to merge traditional culture with cutting-edge aviation for a global audience of millions.
The record-breaking event featured the GHOSTDRONE 4.0 (GD4.0), a new-generation formation UAV developed by EHang’s subsidiary, EHang Egret. During the broadcast on February 15, 2026, the fleet created intricate 3D animations, including the iconic horse-head walls characteristic of Hui-style architecture. This massive undertaking successfully secured the title for the “most multirotor/drones airborne simultaneously from a single computer,” surpassing all previous aerial swarm milestones.
From a technical standpoint, the display demonstrated significant leaps in swarm intelligence and networked command-and-control systems. By managing tens of thousands of units through a single interface, EHang proved the reliability of its autonomous flight technology and its ability to maintain precise positioning in complex, large-scale environments.
