Aviation News – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has agreed to lease 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Royal Air Maroc, strengthening the Moroccan carrier’s fleet growth strategy with deliveries set for 2027 under long-term agreements.

The deal forms part of Royal Air Maroc’s broader expansion programme as it seeks to add capacity and modernize operations across its short- and medium-haul network. DAE, one of the world’s largest aircraft lessors, will supply the new-generation narrowbody jets under extended leases, giving the airline access to additional aircraft without heavy upfront capital costs. The agreement highlights continued demand for fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft as carriers rebuild and expand.

Boeing’s 737-8, part of the 737 MAX family, offers lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions compared with earlier models while carrying more passengers over longer ranges. The aircraft’s efficiency allows airlines to bolt extra frequencies and open new routes while keeping operating expenses in check, making it a practical fit for regional and intra-continental services.
