Aviation News – Embraer has marked the delivery of its 1,700th Ipanema agricultural aircraft, underscoring the model’s long-standing role in supporting Brazil’s farming sector and the wider agribusiness economy.
The milestone aircraft is the EMB-203, the latest version of the Ipanema line, which holds roughly 60% of the agricultural aviation market. The new aircraft will be operated by a customer in Imperatriz, Maranhão, where it will be used for spraying a range of commercial crops. The Ipanema series has been in continuous production for decades, evolving through several versions to meet modern agricultural needs.
Equipped for precise low-level operations, the EMB-203 is designed to deliver efficient crop spraying with improved performance, reliability, and reduced operating costs. Its updated systems help farmers increase productivity during critical planting and harvesting periods, particularly in large-scale farming regions.
As agricultural demand rises, Embraer expects continued interest in specialized aviation solutions that enhance efficiency. The company plans to further develop the Ipanema line to meet evolving environmental and operational requirements.
With 1,700 units delivered, the Ipanema remains a cornerstone of Brazil’s agricultural aviation fleet. Its latest milestone reinforces Embraer’s position in the sector and suggests strong prospects for future growth.
