Dubai Airshow 2025 – Morocco has signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters to acquire ten H225M helicopters, a major step in renewing its aging combat search and rescue fleet.

The agreement will see the Royal Moroccan Air Force replace its more than 40-year-old Puma helicopters with modern H225Ms, marking the latest phase of the kingdom’s long-term defense modernization efforts. The deal positions Morocco among regional operators investing in advanced rotorcraft capabilities to meet evolving operational needs.

The H225M, part of the Super Puma family, is a multi-role helicopter designed for demanding missions. It offers extended range, high payload capacity, and advanced avionics, enabling crews to perform combat search and rescue operations with greater safety and efficiency.
