Etihad Expands Fleet with Major Airbus Order for A330neo and A350 Aircraft

Dubai Airshow 2025 – Etihad Airways has placed a firm order for six Airbus A330-900s and expanded its A350 fleet with ten additional aircraft, reinforcing its long-term growth and fleet renewal strategy.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier confirmed the purchase during its latest fleet planning update, becoming the newest customer for the A330neo. The order includes seven more A350-1000s—raising its total to 27—and three A350F freighters, which brings its future A350F fleet to 10 aircraft. The latest commitments strengthen Etihad’s widebody capabilities as it continues to scale global operations.

The A330-900 and A350 families are built for efficiency, long-range performance and lower emissions. The A330neo offers enhanced fuel burn reductions compared to previous-generation aircraft, while the A350-1000 provides extended range and high capacity for long-haul markets. The A350F, designed for the growing air cargo sector, delivers advanced payload efficiency and reduced operating costs.
