Regarding a new generation of monitoring and control capabilities, Saab has responded to a Request for Information (RFI) from NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency. The response from Saab is based on GlobalEye.

Within the framework of the Alliance Future Surveillance and Control (AFSC) project, NATO will identify its next-generation capability.

GlobalEye is one of our products that was designed right out of the gate with NATO criteria in mind. According to Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business unit Surveillance, “I am certain that we can contribute with significant capabilities that will enhance NATO and benefit the member countries.”

Using a variety of active and passive sensors, GlobalEye’s multi-domain Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) solution offers long-range object detection and identification over land, water, and the air. GlobalEye allows improved situational awareness of the immediate surroundings and early danger detection for units in the armed forces, navies, and air forces. It can also be utilized for non-military duties like organizing and leading rescue efforts during major maritime or land accidents or natural disasters.
