Aviation News – Bell Textron has delivered its 2,000th Bell 407 helicopter to White Saddle Air Services, marking nearly three decades of global success for the versatile light single-engine platform.
The ceremonial delivery took place in Fort Worth, Texas, with the milestone aircraft heading to White Saddle Air Services, a family-owned and operated helicopter company based at Bluff Lake near Tatla Lake in British Columbia’s Cariboo Chilcotin region. This handover underscores the enduring popularity and rugged dependability of a rotorcraft that has served operators worldwide across commercial, utility, corporate, and specialized mission profiles since its inception.
The Bell 407 platform has evolved significantly over its operational history, incorporating advanced avionics, enhanced safety features, and optimized cabin comfort to meet changing industry demands. White Saddle Air Services will integrate the new aircraft into its demanding regional fleet, where it will support utility transport, remote access operations, and mountain flying missions in challenging Canadian environments.
Operationally, the helicopter relies on a high-performance turbine engine and a four-blade composite rotor system that deliver exceptional maneuverability, reliability, and payload capacity in extreme weather conditions. This technological combination ensures low operating costs and high mission readiness, making it a preferred choice for operators requiring precision performance in rugged terrain.
