The incident prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue a temporary ground stop at Miami International Airport. According to the FAA alert, the ground stop was in effect from approximately 2:02 p.m. EDT until 3:00 p.m. EDT. At the time of the initial alert, no significant delays had been reported.
