Aviation News – Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) has successfully evaluated the AGM-190A Havoc Spear small cruise missile in a test configuration, confirming the weapon system meets all operational requirements for widespread deployment across special operations and conventional aircraft.
The announcement marks a key milestone for the military’s standoff precision strike arsenal as the new weapon moves from initial development toward full operational employment. During a combat evaluation conducted in the spring of 2026, the AGM-190A proved accurate and highly effective when launched from an AFSOC flight platform. Executed in direct partnership with U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), the operational assessment validated the small cruise missile’s ability to reliably engage targets within the combatant command’s area of responsibility.
