AviationNews – Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has officially handed over a new Airbus A321neo to Wizz Air at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse. This milestone delivery marks the commencement of a new four-aircraft sale-and-leaseback agreement aimed at accelerating the airline’s capacity growth and fleet modernization.
The transaction strengthens the long-standing partnership between the premier global aircraft asset manager and the rapidly expanding European airline. Initiated in August 2026, this new mandate provides Wizz Air with strategic fleet financing solutions that facilitate the seamless introduction of next-generation aircraft. Once all four upcoming deliveries are completed, the total number of A321neo aircraft leased to Wizz Air by ACG will rise to sixteen.
Equipped with advanced Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, the newly delivered A321neo brings significant operational advantages to the airline’s fleet. These ultra-efficient powerplants drastically reduce fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions compared to previous-generation models. This technological upgrade allows Wizz Air to maintain lower operating costs while actively advancing its broader environmental sustainability strategies across its extensive network.
