The partnership unites an unprecedented aerial transit platform with deep maritime and multimodal freight forwarding expertise to solve modern industrial bottlenecks.
The announcement establishes the two entities as preferred partners tasked with co-developing and marketing integrated logistics solutions across critical global industries. Radia brings its proprietary WindRunner™ aircraft—currently under development as the world’s largest cargo airplane—to the venture, offering a massive leap in available air freight capacity. Complementing this aerial capability, Denmark-headquartered Blue Water Shipping provides decades of experience managing specialized customs clearance, port operations, and complex land-and-sea project cargo management.
Initial market development efforts will target a select group of high-consequence sectors heavily constrained by conventional transit networks. Key focus areas include renewable energy, aerospace logistics, heavy industrial project cargo, government defense transportation, and urgent humanitarian aid or disaster relief. By coordinating business development and joint marketing activities, the firms plan to offer clients complete, end-to-end supply chain oversight for assets previously deemed too large to move efficiently.
The partnership centers on utilizing the WindRunner™ to bypass the physical constraints of traditional highway and rail systems, which frequently bottleneck large components like 100-meter wind turbine blades. The aircraft is engineered to prioritize massive internal cargo volume over sheer weight capacity, boasting a payload bay roughly ten times larger than a standard Boeing 777. Crucially, the airlifter can operate from semi-prepared, unpaved runways as short as 1,800 meters, allowing direct delivery to remote job sites while eliminating the need for expensive cargo disassembly and complex regional infrastructure.
