Aviation News –
General Cherry, a leading Ukrainian drone manufacturer, has officially signed a strategic agreement with American military producer Wilcox Industries to begin manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the United States. This partnership aims to strengthen the supply chain for high-demand interceptor drones and FPV systems within the American defense market.
The collaboration will see General Cherry’s advanced designs produced at Wilcox Industries’ existing manufacturing facilities in New Hampshire. This move comes as part of a broader push to integrate battle-proven Ukrainian technology into the U.S. defense industrial base, following General Cherry’s participation in the high-profile “Gauntlet” contest.
The selection of General Cherry as a domestic production partner follows its involvement in the Drone Dominance Program, a key initiative spearheaded by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. The program seeks to rapidly scale the production of cost-effective, lethal, and agile unmanned systems to maintain a competitive edge in modern electronic warfare environments.
Technically, the New Hampshire site will focus on the Bullet interceptor drone, a specialized craft designed to neutralize enemy aerial threats with high precision. By shifting production to the U.S., the partners ensure a more resilient operational impact, reducing logistical hurdles and meeting stringent Pentagon requirements for domestic hardware sourcing.
