Aviation News – Utah-based Breeze Airways has expanded its operational fleet by taking delivery of three new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in a sale-and-leaseback agreement with the Dutch lessor TrueNoord.

The aircraft, delivered throughout February, represent a major portfolio shift for TrueNoord. While the lessor has historically focused on regional jets and turboprops—including ATR, Embraer, and De Havilland Canada aircraft—this delivery serves as the company’s formal entry into the Airbus market. This transaction underscores a long-term strategic partnership between the two companies.

TrueNoord, which maintains a global footprint with offices in Amsterdam, Dublin, London, and Singapore, currently manages a portfolio of over 100 aircraft leased to more than 30 airlines worldwide. The Airbus A220-300 serves as a cornerstone of Breeze Airways’ growth strategy, offering enhanced fuel efficiency and range capabilities essential for the carrier’s low-cost-carrier business model. By integrating these specific aircraft into their fleet, Breeze can optimize route versatility and improve passenger service across its expanding network.
