Aviation News – Air France will cease all flight operations at Paris Orly Airport by the end of March, shifting its remaining services to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport as part of a long-planned network consolidation.
The decision, first announced three years ago by Air France, reflects the airline’s strategy to centralize its Paris operations at its primary hub, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Until now, the carrier has maintained limited services from Paris Orly Airport, mainly domestic routes within France and flights to French overseas territories. The final departures are scheduled for March 29, with flights to Martinique and Guadeloupe marking the end of operations. Routes to Marseille, Nice, Toulouse and Réunion will end several days earlier.
The move underscores Air France’s operational focus on strengthening its hub structure at Charles de Gaulle, where the airline coordinates long-haul, European and connecting flights alongside partners in the SkyTeam alliance. Concentrating operations at a single airport allows for more efficient aircraft utilization, streamlined connections and improved passenger transfer options across the global network.
