Aviation News – Brussels Airlines has unveiled a new Tintin-themed aircraft, introducing a specially painted Airbus A320 as the latest addition to its celebrated Belgian Icons fleet, reinforcing the carrier’s national identity through aviation design.

The aircraft, registered OO-SNJ and officially named “Gravity,” was presented on 12 February 2026 as the airline’s fifth Belgian icon livery. Inspired by the adventures of Tintin (Kuifje), the design joins previous special schemes that highlight Belgian culture, art and heritage. The initiative aims to showcase national creativity while differentiating the airline’s fleet across European routes.

The A320-214 features a detailed, comic-style exterior with bold graphics and character elements integrated across the fuselage. Beyond aesthetics, the aircraft remains fully operational within the carrier’s short- and medium-haul network, demonstrating how themed liveries can enhance brand visibility without affecting performance or efficiency.

“This aircraft celebrates one of Belgium’s most beloved cultural icons and allows us to share that story with passengers across Europe,” the airline said, describing the livery as a flying ambassador for the country’s artistic legacy.

Brussels Airlines plans to continue expanding its portfolio of distinctive aircraft, using special liveries to strengthen customer engagement and promote Belgian culture abroad. The strategy also supports tourism by turning each aircraft into a recognizable symbol in airports and skies.

With “Gravity” entering regular service, travelers can expect to see the comic-inspired jet on daily routes in the coming months. The unveiling underscores how airlines increasingly blend branding with storytelling, ensuring every flight carries both passengers and a piece of national identity.
