Aviation News – Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) has completed the delivery of eight converted A330-200 freighters to Air China Cargo, marking a major milestone in the Chinese cargo aviation market.
The delivery, confirmed by EFW on January 16, completes the company’s first large-scale freighter conversion order in China. The eighth and final aircraft was handed over to Air China Cargo in Chengdu, underscoring the growing partnership between the German conversion specialist and one of China’s leading cargo operators.
The A330-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion provides Air China Cargo with a widebody aircraft optimized for medium- and long-haul cargo missions. The aircraft feature reinforced floors, a large main-deck cargo door and optimized payload capacity, allowing operators to efficiently carry express shipments, e-commerce goods and general freight across international routes.
