Aviation News – Most of the Airbus A320 aircraft temporarily grounded worldwide have returned to service after Airbus completed urgent software updates addressing a flight-control computer vulnerability flagged by European regulators.

Airlines reacted swiftly to an Emergency Airworthiness Directive issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), following Airbus’ discovery of a flaw in specific A320 Family flight-control systems. The directive, releasede on Friday required immediate operator action to ensure continued safety and prevent potential system anomalies.

The fix involved a targeted software update designed to eliminate the vulnerability without requiring hardware changes. Airbus teams worked alongside airline engineering departments to install and verify the patch, allowing affected aircraft to resume normal operations with minimal disruption.
