Aviation News – Northrop Grumman has celebrated three decades of partnership with French supplier Potez Aéronautique, underscoring the long-term industrial cooperation behind the E-2 Airborne Command and Control aircraft used by the French Navy.

The milestone highlights Potez Aéronautique’s role as empennage supplier for the E-2 family since the early 1990s. Today, the company continues to produce the tail assemblies for the latest E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft manufactured by Northrop Grumman, which will support France’s modernized maritime surveillance and carrier operations.

The empennage, a critical structural component that provides aircraft stability and control, is essential to the E-2D’s performance during extended airborne command-and-control missions. Its precision engineering ensures the aircraft can handle demanding carrier-based environments and maintain reliable operations in all conditions.
