Aviation News – JetBlue celebrates Puerto Rico with vibrant Airbus A320 livery
JetBlue has unveiled a new special livery on one of its Airbus A320 aircraft, named “Isla del Bluencanto,” in a colorful tribute to Puerto Rico’s culture, creativity, and enduring connection to the airline.
The artwork, designed by Puerto Rican artist Juan Gutiérrez Rovira—known as The Stencil Network—was selected through a public vote in March 2025. The livery showcases bright, symbolic imagery celebrating Puerto Rico’s heritage and identity. The aircraft was revealed during a special ceremony on October 5, 2025, at The Flight Park in San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), attended by community members, local leaders, and JetBlue employees. JetBlue, the largest airline serving Puerto Rico by annual passenger numbers, said the design underscores its commitment to the island and its people.
The vibrant livery transforms the Airbus A320 into a flying piece of art, combining JetBlue’s signature blue tones with island-inspired motifs. The name “Isla del Bluencanto” merges Puerto Rico’s nickname, Isla del Encanto (“Island of Enchantment”), with JetBlue’s brand, symbolizing the unity between the airline and the island it serves.
