Aviation News – Lufthansa Airlines has revealed a striking new livery on a Boeing 787-9 to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, showcasing the carrier’s iconic crane symbol in a bold, modern design.
The airline presented the aircraft, registered D-ABPU, after it received its special paintwork in Charleston, USA. The livery, which integrates the historic crane with a “100” emblem and the years “1926/2026,” reflects Lufthansa’s heritage while promoting its centenary milestone. The jet is expected to join the fleet in Frankfurt this November, entering regular service in December.
The design features a deep blue fuselage with a white crane whose wings blend seamlessly into the aircraft’s own, creating a visual impression of flight and continuity. The Boeing 787-9, equipped with the new Allegris interior, will act as a flying ambassador, representing Lufthansa’s legacy and global presence as it connects destinations worldwide.
