Aviation News – A back-seat passenger in a U.S. Air National Guard F-15D Eagle was unintentionally ejected while the aircraft was taxiing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, Massachusetts.
A video circulating online shows the F-15 continuing down the taxiway as smoke billows from the rear cockpit, the canopy lands on the left wing and the passenger—seen near a deployed parachute—crawls beside the runway. The individual, reportedly on an “incentive flight” with the 104th Fighter Wing, appears to have survived. A formal investigation is expected to determine how the ejection was triggered.
