The hosting nation and specific airbase for Tigermeet vary each year. And this year host will be the German Air force TaktLwG 51/1 at Schleswig Air Base from 3 June 2024 – 13 Junne 2024.

- Inception: The first Tigermeet took place in 1961. It was initiated by the 79th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the United States Air Force, the French 1/12 Cambresis squadron, and the UK’s 74 Squadron.
- Symbolism: The “tiger” theme stems from the tradition that participating squadrons often have tiger emblems or motifs, symbolizing strength, agility, and fierceness.
