South Korea’s largest carrier, Korean Air said it would order 33 A350s in a $13.7 billion deal – its first purchase of that aircraft family as it prepares for a merger with Asiana Airlines, another South Korean carrier.
In total, the airline is set to order six A350-900s and 27 A350-1000s. No delivery timeline has been communicated by the airline or manufacturer.
Next to its new A350-order, the airline has open orders with Airbus for 41 A321neos and with Boeing for 23 B737-8s, seven B787-9s, and ten B787-10s.
