Last weekend, the 15th Air Transport Wing of the Belgian Air Force celebrated its 75th anniversary with a well-attended open house at Melsbroek Air Base.
Melsbroek is also home to the police helicopters of the Directorate of Air Support (DAFA) which celebrated its 30th anniversary.
This Open Door was an opportunity for the general public to get a close look at the new Airbus A400M Atlas, the new maintenance hangars, the A400M flight simulator building. And to enjoy the demonstrations of both the A400M with special forces and Federal Police Helicopters with fast rope, dog intervention and fire bucket demo.
Visitors also had a chance to see aircraft up close on the static and see inside.
