Following a successful trial conducted in 2022, the airline based in the Canary Islands has entered into a commercial agreement with Embraer’s platform.
Binter Canarias and Embraer have inked a deal to implement the Beacon digital platform for maintaining its E195-E2 fleet. The Canary Island airline opted for the coordination platform that efficiently connects resources and experts for prompt aircraft return to service, following the success of the trial run. Beacon is an agnostic platform that caters to aircraft of all manufacturers.
This marks Beacon’s initial commercial agreement with a European airline, expanding the digital platform’s presence in the market and catering to an increasing number of aircraft and locations.
According to Marco Cesarino, Head of Beacon, “Binter serves passengers who seek comfort and uninterrupted service, posing a unique maintenance coordination challenge with a dispersed workforce. Binter’s trials have validated the real-time collaboration and insights that Beacon facilitates. We anticipate that this will be the first of many successful breakthroughs as Beacon’s customers continue to soar.”
Javier Bretón, Director of Operations for Binter, stated, “Our expectations were high when we began the trials for the Beacon platform, hoping it would boost aircraft availability and workforce allocation. Beacon has proven to be an essential asset for our maintenance teams, and we are delighted to progress to a commercial contract.”
