On January 31, 2023 the very last new cargo example will be delivered to an airline. Delivery of passenger-747s had previously been halted.

The last 747 rolled out on December 7, 2022 capping the program at 1,574 total in its history. The plane has since completed inspections and flight tests, flying to Portland over the holidays to get a paint job.

The model was in production for 55 years. This aircraft is destined for the American Atlas Air.
