Icelandair is sending staff along on flights to Amsterdam-Schiphol to unload baggage. This already happened recently on previous flights.
Icelandair has two daily flights to Amsterdam from the capital Reykjavik. On the Icelandic news site RUV, the airline says it wants to do everything it can to avoid delays. Cabin crew are also deployed for this purpose.
Due to the chaos at Amsterdam-Schiphol, a combination of vacation crowds and staff shortages, several airlines are looking at their options. A number of them are diverting to other airports. Icelandair’s solution allows the airline to continue operations smoothly.
