For those who would like to work in the aerospace sector, the program aims to accelerate the specialist’s skill set in one area within the fastest-growing global market. At the end of the program, the selected professionals will receive the lato sensu degree from the university and will have the opportunity to work for Embraer within technology development.
“We are very excited about this new program in partnership with UFPE. The program will accelerate the availability of tech specialists for the aeronautical industry, and will also generate benefits for society, helping to reduce the gap between supply and demand for these professionals,” says Carlos Alberto Griner, VP of People, ESG and Communications at Embraer. “Aligned with our vision of joint work with universities, we created an agile educational program to attract talents who seek to match personal development and career opportunities in aviation.”
Divided into three phases, the program will offer virtual classes for the theoretical disciplines and the final project’s development. With a nine-month duration, the candidates will be able to choose between specialization in “embedded software” or “data science” upon application.
The recognized tradition and quality in higher education and scientific research, as well as the proximity to the Porto Digital, an innovation hub of excellence located in Recife, made UFPE the ideal partner for Embraer to conduct the educational initiative with an impact in the ecosystem of national innovation.
Considering other successful recruitment and capacitation programs from Embraer, the perspective is that the Software Specialization Program will provide the company with higher availability of highly skilled professionals who are aligned with the growth strategy of future businesses.
