WENEN – Level Europe, the subsidiary of IAG that operates budget flights within Europe, has filed for bankruptcy. All activities have been suspended with immediate effect, the company announced on Thursday.

In a statement, the company claims to have been hit in an unprecedented way by the COVID-19 pandemic. Level Europe filed for bankruptcy in its home country of Austria. Due to the corona crisis, the company had suspended all flights since March.
