Qatar Airways Cargo increases flights to The Netherlands

Qatar Airways cargo has increased its freighter flight frequency to The Netherlands, from nine to 34 flights per week.

The carrier is using Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft to operate 27 flights per week to Amsterdam — one of the biggest gateways in Europe — and seven per week to Maastricht.

Special cargo such as pharmaceuticals and perishables, including fruit and flowers, are key exports of The Netherlands.

Guillaume Halleux, chief officer of cargo, explained: “In these tough and trying times, it’s important to support the global trade and maintain the supply of essential goods and vital aid worldwide.

“I am thankful to the airport authorities, the slot coordination team and the Dutch government, who have helped us with the frequency increase.

“We are all in this together and are glad to be of help to our customers and countries globally.”
