F-16B crash FB-18

In the west of France, a Belgian F-16B two-seater with serial FB-18 crashed. The two pilots were able to leave the plane with their ejection seats, says the Belgian Air Force.

One of the pilots became entangled in an electricity cable with his parachute and hung in the air for a while. He could be freed by the fire brigade. The other pilot landed on the ground with his parachute. Both were slightly injured.

The F-16B fighter jet had left a Belgian airbase Florennes for an exercise. The aircraft crashed by unknown cause at the place Lorient in the south of Brittany.
