Boeing Co has been awarded a $6.2 billion contract for 36 F-15 aircraft for Qatar’s air force, the Pentagon said in a statement on Friday.

The aircraft will be manufactured at a Boeing plant in St. Louis, Missouri and are expected to be delivered to Qatar Emiri Air Force by the end of 2022.

In November 2016, the United States approved possible sale of up to 72 F-15QA aircraft to Qatar for $21.1 billion. Boeing Co is the prime contractor on the fighter jet sale to the Middle East nation.
